Lectra has made a clear commitment to helping young students, as evidenced by our policy of creating partnerships with schools and universities around the world as well as by the many internships offered for students to enable them to develop their knowledge of the business world and so better prepare them for their future careers. Internships must, above all, correspond to an identified objective. Students are given a clear mission and real responsibilities in line with their background and professional aims. These internships may be in any part of the company and can vary in duration. In 2008, we offered over 90 internships to students with extremely varied backgrounds and training.

The benefits of a Lectra internship
Our interns are given real roles to fulfill within the company, which requires a clear commitment on both sides. We recognize the value of this work by giving a stipend, based on the student’s academic course, experience and, potentially, on the level of personal investment the student demonstrates over the course of the internship.

Where can I do an internship?
A number of internships are available in France (in French and English), mainly in Paris and Bordeaux Cestas. It is not unusual, however, for the group’s larger international subsidiaries to take on interns (USA, China, Italy, Germany). What are the employment opportunities upon completion of an end-of-course internship?
In addition to the possibility of discovering company life and acquiring experience, internships are also an excellent way of joining the group. We follow the progress of all interns with particular care and have often hired former interns.
