Founded in 1889, the ENSAIT "l'Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Industries Textiles ", trains nearly 70 % of French textile engineers and 15 % of European ones. ENSAIT engineers have a high scientific level and are general practitioner engineers initiated to the realities of an economic globalisation and endowed with real aptitudes for innovation.
The ENSAIT has been a Lectra partner for many years and is equipped with Lectra's most adavanced tecnologies for fashion such as Modaris Expert for pattern making, Diamino Expert for automatic nesting or Modaris 3D Fit for 3D prototyping. In addition, this school uses the complete range of modules dedicated to textile design - Print, Weave and Knit- and also allows its students to develop expertise in Design Concept Auto for 3D Soft Trim Design.
About the partnership
"ENSAIT is a real CAD pioneer, having seen over 20 years ago the advantages it could bring to textile companies. Working in conjunction with Lectra's R&D teams and business experts allowed us to successfully complete some very precise applied research projects developed for companies and public bodies, such as women's bulletproof vests for the French Army. This is a fundamental element in our motivation in favour of a partnership where a genuine mutual exchange is extremely important".
Xavier Flambard, ENSAIT Director.
