Versalis - leather cutting solution

The fruit of Lectra’s expertise in leather cutting, the Versalis Auto range was developed based on an analysis of the automotive industry-specific cutting room process.
This range of cutting solutions allows optimized production and valuable material savings without compromising quality.

Versalis Auto is available in three configurations, catering to the different types of leather production specific to automotive companies:

- Versalis Auto 1H solution (one head) : designed for cutting pre-series and after-markets

- Versalis Auto 2H solution (two heads): for mass production,

- Versalis Auto 3H solution (three heads): ideal for cutting small pieces such as steering wheels, headrests and gear levers, etc.

Equipped with a single conveyor, the scanning, nesting, cutting, and offloading phases are performed in a fluid sequence, without interruptions.
With hide qualification performed upstream of cutting, the production flow is no longer slowed down by the pre-marking of flaws. The Versalis Auto solution's scanner can accurately and automatically identify the pre-marked flaws and hide contour, so there is no risk that they will be overlooked. The cycle is optimized and excellent cut quality is assured.

In a context of increasingly higher leather costs—up 50% to 100% since 2009—Versalis Auto offers a decisive competitive advantage of 5% to 10% material savings. A performance achieved by combining precise hide qualification, an efficient flaw analysis solution, and the Versalis Auto software suite for managing and optimizing operations.
