VTL associates its expertise with the quality cutting of Lectra’s new VectorFashionMH8
Founded in the early 1980s, VTL (Vêtements de Travail et de
Loisirs) is one of the leading textile companies in Tunisia, and
also one of the country’s largest exporters. In its factories located at Menzel Temime, some 100 kilometers
southeast of Tunis, the VTL group manufactures garments for nearly
40 of the world’s largest international brands. “Cutting is a fundamental phase in the fabrication of a
garment,” affirms VTL Plant Director, Samir Hazaimia. "Our
customers are fully conscious of this, and the first question they
ask when they enter our workshops is, ‘what cutting machine do you
use?’ And when we answer ‘Lectra,’ they’re immediately
reassured.”
Confidence in Lectra, constantly renewed
Already equipped with Modaris and Diamino, Lectra’s
pattern-making and marker-making solutions, ProSpinFashion for
prototyping and small-series cutting, and two Alys plotters, VTL
has recently renewed the confidence that it has had in Lectra
technology since its creation. VTL has in fact acquired Lectra’s
newest automated cutting solution, the VectorFashionMH8, which is
specifically designed for the apparel market. "We use a wide range of fabrics," explains Samir
Hazaimia,“including knits, viscose, jersey, cotton, denim and
lycra. The new VectorFashionMH8 allows us to cut all these
materials, from the most delicate to the very thickest, with
exceptional precision, and consequently to satisfy our customers by
delivering all the quality they expect." Thanks to the software intelligence of its system, the
VectorFashionMH8 analyzes each action in order to optimize raw
material usage and thus guarantees a flawless final result,
regardless of fabric being treated or the complexity of the
shapes.
Speed does not impede precision
VTL faces the same demands faced by all manufacturers in the
fashion and apparel business: the need to optimize the utilization
of their technological equipment to produce quickly, with maximum
quality and at minimal cost. "This is why we are always looking for the best available
technology, in order to reduce as much as possible the cost of
manufacturing products," explains Samir Hazaimia. This
requires better performance in terms of raw material utilization,
as raw materials constitute more than half the cost of a finished
garment.
The VectorFashionMH8 is easy-to-use!
The VectorFashionMH8’s piloting software adapts itself to both
the activity being performed and also to the operator’s level of
expertise. Operators will find multiple procedures to accompany and assist
them throughout the cutting process, no matter what their level of
expertise, in a secure environment that eliminates the risk of
incorrect manipulations "Before we started working with the VectorFashionMH8, we thought
it would be difficult to operate, since its technology is so
complex," confesses Samir Hazaimia. "But we soon realized that it
was very simple to use, and our operators were quickly able to
operate it on their own thanks to the training and the
accompaniment provided by Lectra’s technicians."
“The new VectorFashionMH8 allows us to cut all fabrics with exceptional precision."
