For this reason, the cutting process must be precise and rigorous. Carbon fibers, glass fibers, honeycomb, plastics, and foam are expensive but they offer interesting mechanical characteristics. This forces manufacturers to implement strict controls on material use. The cutting phase must also permit strict traceability and pieces identification. In this context, it is no wonder that automatization is popular in the industry: it limits the risk of human error and ensures great flexibility throughout the entire manufacturing process.
