Atlanta, GA, June 8, 2006 – Lectra will
participate at the Computer Integrated Textile Design Association’s
(CITDA) first Technology Symposium sponsored by the American
Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC). This premier
CAD/CAM technology symposium will be held at QVC World Headquarters
in West Chester, Pennsylvania on June 22 and 23. The symposium will
assemble a variety of design and manufacturing professionals to
participate in educational seminars on design and product
development, information technology, sourcing and
retailing.
The program, entitled, “Global Design Initiative,” will
feature industry-recognized experts and professionals, representing
diverse design backgrounds, who will lead workshops and panel
discussions on a variety of topics related to the integration of
technology into design processes. The symposium will deliver
practical and strategic information to designers, stylists,
colorists, educators and other technical professionals who are
responsible for design and product development.
Matthew Forman, Lectra’s Solutions Expert for the fashion
sector, will host a seminar on “Using Spectral Color in
Design.” Mr. Forman will examine the challenges facing textile
designers relating to color matching and color consistency. He will
also explore new developments in International Color Consortium
(ICC) specifications and Spectral Profiling as well as discuss the
positive results achieved from these technologies for the
resolution of color management issues.
