Atlanta, GA, June 8, 2006 – Lectra will participate at the Computer Integrated Textile Design Association’s (CITDA) first Technology Symposium sponsored by the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC). This premier CAD/CAM technology symposium will be held at QVC World Headquarters in West Chester, Pennsylvania on June 22 and 23. The symposium will assemble a variety of design and manufacturing professionals to participate in educational seminars on design and product development, information technology, sourcing and retailing.

The program, entitled, “Global Design Initiative,” will feature industry-recognized experts and professionals, representing diverse design backgrounds, who will lead workshops and panel discussions on a variety of topics related to the integration of technology into design processes. The symposium will deliver practical and strategic information to designers, stylists, colorists, educators and other technical professionals who are responsible for design and product development.

Matthew Forman, Lectra’s Solutions Expert for the fashion sector, will host a seminar on “Using Spectral Color in Design.” Mr. Forman will examine the challenges facing textile designers relating to color matching and color consistency. He will also explore new developments in International Color Consortium (ICC) specifications and Spectral Profiling as well as discuss the positive results achieved from these technologies for the resolution of color management issues.

We are proud to support this technology forum,” commented David Rode, President of Lectra North America. “This symposium is an important opportunity for Lectra to demonstrate the added-value that our design and product development solutions bring to the apparel industry.”
