Job description

SUMMARY

  • This position will work directly with customers to assist with repairs and maintenance to Lectra CAD/CAM equipment, provide training and resolution of issues, and installation of all software and hardware.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Extensive travel throughout all of the country
  • On site repairs and maintenance to Lectra CAD/CAM equipment
  • Trouble-shoot, isolate problems & provide assistance on CAM applications issues
  • Perform training to customers on maintenance and operation procedures
  • Installation of Lectra software and hardware (CAM/CAD i.e. plotter, cutter)
  • Log all call activities and daily entry into the service monitoring software

PROFILE

An electrical engineer with strong technical and trouble-shooting skills, thorough knowledge of 3 phase inverters, repairing electronic circuits, DC servo loops, motor drives, PC hardware, software and peripherals and familiarity with CAD/CAM, networking, databases and internet technologies.

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, preferably in Electronics, Mechanical, Robotics or Manufacturing (or technical degree with equivalent experience)
  • 5 years of experience preferred (but may be willing to teach an enthusiastic, talented graduate engineer)
  • Demonstrates expertise in a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures relating to CAM and Productivity
  • Experience with Computer Aided Manufacturing and/or Robotics software and hardware
  • High-level of process analysis and communication skills
  • Fluent in English and Spanish with very strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be fully PC literate and have experience with MS applications (Microsoft Office, Windows 7/XP, 2000 OS)
  • Windows XP, 2000 O/S
  • Knowledge of Network (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, Internet)
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Electronic/Electrical knowledge to include the use of DVM/Osciloscope
  • CNC Cutting experience a plus
  • Experience with electronic and electrical applications and trouble-shooting
  • Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • 60 - 80% of traveling required to customer sites/Lectra offices
