Lectra’s transformation plan aims to bolster teams in core strategic activities and the most promising geographic markets and industries. The largest recruitment drives are taking place in France, China, North America, Germany and Eastern Europe. 

 

25% NEW EMPLOYEES 

At the end of 2013, a quarter of Lectra’s employees had joined the company over the preceding two years: 36% of these new recruits are based in France and nearly 20% in each of the following regions: Asia-Pacific, the Americas and other European countries. 

 

280 EMPLOYEES IN SALES AND MARKETING

The sales and marketing teams have been considerably renewed and strengthened: a third of them joined the Group in 2013 and 50% since the plan was launched.

 

250 EMPLOYEES IN RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT 

Lectra has continued to invest significantly in research and development, and is bolstering its R&D teams by an additional 40 software engineers at Bordeaux-Cestas, as part of its €50 million investments for the future. The R&D headcount increased by 17% in 2013. Consisting mainly of trained engineers, they span a wide array of specialties across a broad spectrum from software development and Internet services through electronics, mechanical engineering, as well as expert knowledge of the Group’s customers’ businesses. 

 

170 EMPLOYEES PROFESSIONAL SERVICES TEAMS

Consultants make up a third of Lectra’s professional services team. Lectra has placed consulting at the heart of its value proposition. By doing so, it offers customers a competitive advantage when it comes to accelerating change within their organizations and facing new challenges.
