Job descriptionThe Sales Development Representative’s primary function is to increase Lectra’s business share in Mexico. This position will play a fundamental role in achieving our revenue growth objectives for the Fashion and Apparel business in Mexico. The candidate must be comfortable making dozens of calls per day, working with current customers, generating interest, qualifying prospects on the phone.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
- New accounts and/or expanding existing accounts while meeting financial objectives.
- Routing solution and project potential opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure
- Developing and accomplishing a lead generation plan, meeting and exceeding established goal
- promotional campaigns on the installed base
- Collaborate with the marketing team in the integration of new prospects
- Call on prospects to understand their purchase decision makers, decision making process and criteria, and their needs
- Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest.
- Maintain and expand our database of prospects within the assigned territory
- Understand customer needs and requirements
- Identify business potential through various lead generation activities, including tradeshow, direct mailing, advertising and cold-calling of key industry players.
- Provide value propositions, handle objections, prepare quotes, and close sales by getting prospects’ commitments.
- Maintain accuracy of CRM data for pipeline management in alignment with management
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university
- 3+ years experience in Sales and/or Marketing with a minimum of 2 years in direct B2B sales
- Experience selling/understanding of enterprise software, capital equipment, or professional services strongly preferred
- Track record of over-achieving
- Strong phone presence and experience making dozens of calls per day
- Excellent interpersonal communication (both written and verbal)
- Computer literate (Office software, Internet…) to be able to find information and master the offer, as well as ensuring reporting. Salesforce knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to cope with pressure
- Experience as a skilled negotiator respecting sales rules of the company
- Well organized and good time management skills in order to master yearly action plan
- Capacity to handle a multitude of ongoing issues and an incisive mind to ensure focusing on priorities, both operational and business development, long and short term
- Bilingual - Spanish/English
TRAVEL:
- The position will be based in Mexico City. Minimum travel required domestically and internationally (possible training in Cestas, France and Atlanta, GA).
