Lectra and Politecnico Di Milano have been longtime partners when it comes to design education. The school first began using Lectra solutions for its Fashion Design program, training students on Kaledo and Modaris.

More recently, it has added Lectra solutions to the curriculum for its Yacht Design Master's program.

Politecnico Di Milano founded its Master’s program in Yacht Design in 2002, in response to strong demand for training in the yacht sector. The program combines classroom work with design exercises, and visits to shipyards, companies active in the industry and applied research institutes. Its aim is to produce graduates who are professionally trained and capable of solving industry problems.

The program’s comprehensive academic curriculum is enhanced by access to the latest tools and techniques for handling the complex design and construction process of sailboats and motor yachts.
