Calzedonia Group is one of the largest fashion retail brands in the world. The rapidly expanding Italian company was facing the challenge of satisfying new consumer needs by enabling its brands to deliver on-trend products faster. 

Improving patternmaking and nesting processes with cloud technology to help in global expansion

The company sought to implement a product development software that had the capacity to support them in their global expansion. They needed a solution that could help them automate the design and production process to deliver innovative swimwear and hosiery designs that their customers expect from them within shorter time frames.

Cost-saving solutions that enable Calzedonia to forecast fabric consumption

The tools’ simplicity and ease-of-use enable Calzedonia’s patternmakers to calculate fabric consumption costs without having to wait for input from the marker-making team. The patternmakers can now make 70% of their fabric consumption calculations and work autonomously, which allows them to make smarter decisions faster. Additionally, thanks to Quick Nest, it currently takes 80% less than the usual time for the nesting department to make these calculations. With Quick Estimate, they are now able to organize fitting sessions during the earlier production development stages to predict the total fabric cost of each product. They can then adjust its patterns to ensure that it fulfills the requirements set by the product office. This enables them to sell their items at attractive price points and maintain their profit margins.
