Amit Gautam

Amit Gautam is the founder and CEO of TextileGenesis and a member of the Executive Committee since July 1, 2025.

In December 2022, Lectra announced the acquisition of a majority stake in the Dutch company TextileGenesis – a Software as a Service (SaaS) platform that enables fashion brands and sustainable textile manufacturers to ensure a reliable, secure and fully digital mapping of their textiles, from the fiber to the consumer, and thereby guarantee their authenticity and origins.

Before founding TextileGenesis, Amit Gautam was Executive Vice President for the fashion sector at Lenzing, a world leader in sustainable materials innovation, based in Austria. He was responsible for global sales, marketing and commercialization of innovations for the textile sector. Amit Gautam previously held the positions of Associate Partner at McKinsey and Principal at Booz & Company, where he gained international management experience spanning Asia, the USA and Europe. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in India.
