Transforming fashion operations: DIM brands international's journey with Kubix Link

The implementation of Kubix Link has already allowed DBI to achieve its initial goal of effectively managing the collection board. The next phase of the journey involves migrating PLM to Kubix Link, which promises further streamlining and efficiency gains.

Dim Brands International (DBI), a prominent European underwear company, is renowned for distributing iconic brands such as Dim, Nur Die, Lovable, Playtex, Abanderado, and Bellinda across Europe.

Founded in 1960, DBI leads in France's underwear market and currently employs over 3,300 people in ten European countries.

In 2022, DBI decided to focus on three growth pillars:

  • brand development,
  • innovation,
  • and omnichannel marketing.

Streamlining operations to bring products to market faster and boosting overall work efficiency

The company's operations were divided among different departments: Marketing determined which products to introduce or discontinue each season; Business Units executed the go-to-market strategy; and Supply Chain sourced products accordingly.

However, the critical link connecting these functions, the collection board, was managed through Excel. This created hurdles in data management, error prevention, and efficient workflow.

Kubix Link, trusted solution for Fashion product lifecycle management

To overcome these challenges, DBI turned to Kubix Link, a solution offered by Lectra, a trusted partner for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). This choice was motivated by the pre-existing partnership with Lectra and its fashion industry expertise.

Kubix Link's adaptability made it the optimal choice for DBI's diverse operational needs. The adoption of Kubix Link extended to 300 users spanning various departments, including Marketing, Sales, E-commerce, Retail, Product Development, Sourcing, Packaging, Planning, Quality, Certifications, Customer Service, Distribution, and Finance.

Improving Work Performance

Stabilizing processes and successfully incorporating the new solution for DIM and Playtex, which were integrated six months ago, is a significant achievement.

DBI expects improved work performance now that all items reside in a centralized, digital platform.

The implementation of Kubix Link has already allowed DBI to achieve its initial goal of effectively managing the collection board. The next phase of the journey involves migrating PLM to Kubix Link, which promises further streamlining and efficiency gains.
