As a Gerber customer for over 30 years, General Sportwear leveraged the industry-leading AccuMark and YuniquePLM to relaunch their legacy brand, DEVIL-DOG Dungarees.
Originally established in 1948, DEVIL-DOG Dungarees featured the highest quality denim with superb workmanship and stood proudly as a staple of iconic Americana. In order to continue to provide the highest quality denim while also keeping up with consumer demands, General Sportwear needed to implement a solution that would allow them to move with the speed and efficiency without sacrificing the quality of the final product.
A problem many premium brands run into is being able to have full control over their design and development process. Many brands outsource parts of their supply chain which is not only costly but it also puts the product in someone else’s hands, risking quality and fit.
By leveraging Gerber’s AccuMark and YuniquePLM, General Sportwear was able to streamline their workflow and have full control over the final product. With YuniquePLM’s powerful Design Suite plugin, General Sportwear created all of their DEVIL-DOG images in Adobe Illustrator and easily integrated them into YuniquePLM for style creation. The seamless integration between YuniquePLM and AccuMark allowed General Sportwear to reduce lead time and minimize cost without sacrificing the quality that is integral to DEVIL-DOG’s identity.
