Founded in 1971, Vilebrequin is a luxury swim- and beachwear brand best known for  embodying the spirit of vacation and fun in Saint Tropez,  and its appeal among French  celebrities.

In 2019, the brand pivoted toward embracing environmental sustainability, using organic and recycled fabric for 93% of its production. Today, the French brand is looking to expand its digital presence to meet the needs of today’s consumers, who have a higher tendency to shop online, particularly on marketplaces.

Overcoming technical difficulties in integrating with major international marketplace players

While Vilebrequin was already selling on several marketplaces, the brand was looking to penetrate more markets worldwide to meet rising consumer demand.  

Their biggest challenge was to integrate its system with different marketplace players that have different requirements, purchase order workflows and operating modes. The cross-border accounting process became more complex with new VAT reconciliation issues.
